Focused on Your Child

At UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, our team specializes in care for all types of leukemia, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myelogenous leukemia. Whether your child is newly diagnosed or experiencing recurrent leukemia, we offer a full suite of therapy options, including innovative treatments you won’t find in other hospitals. As leading experts in treating rare cancers, we also treat more patients with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia than any other medical center in the country.

A Team by Your Side

Managing a cancer diagnosis can be challenging, emotionally and logistically. Our teams work to make the process as seamless as possible so you can focus on what matters most – your child.

  • Easy access to care. With multiple locations, your child can get the treatments they need close to home.
  • Help navigating payment and scheduling. Your patient navigator will help you schedule appointments for treatments and follow-up visits. They can also connect you with assistance handling insurance coverage. We accept most public and private insurance plans.
  • Personalized care. Every child is one-of-a-kind– so is every care plan, from diagnosis to treatment to ongoing monitoring.
  • Second opinions. Our specialists can give you reassurance as you make decisions about your child’s care.
